The safeguarding and welfare of children and vulnerable adults and indeed anyone who
needs support for their well-being are taken extremely seriously at the Leicestershire Tennis
and Squash Club.

All our coaches are accredited which means they have an advanced DBS check and complete
safeguarding training every 3 years. Coaches also renew their Level 3 First Aid in the
Workplace every 3 years.

Staff members receive an induction which includes an awareness of safeguarding
procedures.

All our coaches are very approachable and have built trusting and effective relationships
with senior and junior pupils, their parents and members generally.

In addition, all committee members have completed LTA online safeguarding training.
Our Welfare Officer is Alice Griffiths. She has completed the safeguarding training
requirements for this role and can be contacted through the Club Office.

Lillie Pickering is undertaking the training as our young people’s welfare ambassador and
she is happy to support any young person who is concerned about anything regarding the
club.
