The Clubhouse
The Clubhouse dates back to 1931, built to a then innovative design incorporating a grandstand on the roof which offers a panoramic view of the show courts which is a unique feature for important tournaments and matches. If you’re not playing, it’s a great place to stop for your morning coffee or a sociable drink on the way home from work. There is a professionally run bar and coffee shop with snacks available, changing and shower facilities, and a large screen television. The Clubhouse is also home to the Club Shop run by the independent racket sport specialists Withers Sports, where you can buy everything you need for tennis, squash, racketball and table tennis.
The Bar & Coffee Shop
The Club’s coffee shop and fully licenced bar is open every day of the week;
5.30pm – 10.00pm Monday – Friday
9am – 8.00pm Saturday and Sunday between 31st March and 31st October and until 2pm from 1st November until 30th March (unless there is a social event on).
At the bar, a full range of drinks are offered including draught beer and lager, wines and spirits, and an extensive range of soft drinks.
The club coffee shop also offers a wide variety of hot beverages served to you by one of our friendly bar staff. There is a coffee machine and vending machine for when the bar is closed.
The clubhouse is an ideal venue for private parties (with a hiring fee) and club social events.
