In case you missed it, there was an impromptu visit by a TV crew from ITV National News a couple of weeks ago who were interested in public opinion on Brexit. The Squash 'End of Season Do' 2016, was a well-attended evening of curry, awards, and a friendly (fiercely competitive) 1-point tournament. Organised by the fantastic Steve Parker, and sponsored by Robert Wynne, Club member and owner of RCW Business Solutions Ltd. The evening brought to a close a hard-fought but ultimately successful season for the four teams who represented the Leicestershire Tennis and Squash Club.... Overall, the season was a huge success. Following the ambitious decision to [...]
Cathie Sabin, President of the LTA paid the Club a visit for lunch and brought the Davis Cup trophy along for the ride. This is the very trophy given to the LTA following the Great British Davis Cup Victory last year, and is identical to the trophy given to the players of the winning team. Fingers crossed - we might be hosting the actual Davis Cup later on this year which looks very similar only [...]
